Richard,

Just imagine if the Kuwaity gold has been loaned to the BoE so that it may continue with its much advertised gold sales. Perhaps the BoE is having a little difficulty collecting on leases due. The collapse of lease rates is also very peculiar, indicating either incredible liquidity { perhaps due to fed leasing } or just plain death of the leasing game. It is my guess that most leases are not being rolled over meaning that the liquidity has got to be coming from somewhere. If gold holds up with lease rates at these levels, i would venture to say that the jig is up on the fed. They may very well be able to stabilize the price into Y2K but beyond that point and a little post Y2K liquifying? i would say gold will probably take off mid to end feb. It would make a great deal of sense if gold fills its gaps very early next year, before Y2K, don't think so. Whatever happens, it would seem that the CB games are very close to been done with.
