James Calladine, don't miss the forest for the trees; here
it is; I'll give it to you very simply, in the immortal
words of Pearse:

" With the 50/450 we will LEAPFROG the competition ".

Key word here Calladine, very simply is , " Leapfrog ",
as in
" to jump over somebody ", and
" leave him in the dust rubbing his eyes ",
wondering, " what happened? ".

We already know what LU/ASND ATMs do to a network.
We beta tested that downtown Chicago: we had a one week
blackout. Don't tell me you are waiting for another beta
test?
LU's recent ATM gains were with the smaller CLECs who go
from one corner gas station to the other . ASND is not going
to hook up New York to Berlin or Tokyo. Forget it.

We know about CSCO's ATM/Stratacom: It has been shelved:
Finito; capisc?

So, a word to the wise is what one analyst said: "If NN
joins a larger provider

we will murder ASND.

Key word here : " Murder".

So there are two words that you 'll need to decide
Calladine, just two:

Leapfrogging and Murdering

Comment: The company is a dud. Mathews is a dud; Lutz was a clutz etc. They failed everywhere. I sold at $55 C....Thank goodness. They have even failed at prompting a takeover because of Matthews....

Those of you who are closer to the Newbridge reality, could you comment?

I think you've just coined a new oxymoron.

As for the numbers, I suspect they threw everything but the kitchen sink into the quarter once they knew they'd missed.
