I have to say, I'm not so sure about either furniture.com or mothernature.com. I just don't see people buying furniture over the Web. It's not a commodity and I just can't envision it as a viable concept. As for mothernature.com, I'm just skeptical about the size of the TAM and the idea that there's a differentiating barrier to competition here... These are the kind of net IPOs that make me roll my eyes a bit. Now that AltaVista IPO -- that makes me salivate. On another note, it's almost laughable how the CMGI stock price "somehow" manages to settle within 1/8 of the most likely option price on OE day... How does it happen every time? Manipulation? Preposterous!
