Where did you get the $1.50 IPO price from Ciao? I can't find reference to that anywhere. If they want a $97 M market cap, I believe they are smart to issue more shares. The general public tends to look at share price while ignoring how many shares outstanding. For example, most retailers will perceive a .75 stock with 20 million outstanding as cheaper than a $1.50 stock with 10 million outstanding even though the market caps are identical. One issue with the listing - will it impact taxes? TOM will be much better off to recognise revenues in Hong Kong than here at punitive Canadian tax rates. Q. Why not list at a blue sky price? A. Because you want the stock to rise from IPO to create excitement. If the issue is popular, it could trade upwards as the blue sky potential is recognised. The IPO price is based more on fundamentals. My other thought is that the 75 K shares which are keeping a lid on the stock are probably intentional. They want to hold the price back until they announce news. It looks bad when the stock moves without a press release. Unless Geoff's information is wrong, this doesn't get any closer to a sure thing. You can buy the stock today for a dollar and it will likely be worth at least two or three dollars in a few weeks or less. Here's a key point. Staff of TS Telecom have significant options in the .50 - $1.00 range. Isn't it strange that there isn't more selling into the run? To me, that says that we're just getting started! There is some brilliance on management's part with this listing. They had trouble providing proper IR and news and generating excitement in North America, so the stock price never reflects the company's worth. So, they list in Asia where people can understand the story. When the price of TOM, here, rises with the successful IPO, people in North America are going to wake up when they see the large move and TOM-ASE is likely to get a larger following. Do you know what all the companies are and the relationships between them?
