Well, at least this team didn't embarrass themselves in their losses like the '97 team. They were in each game right up to the end and could have won them all and probably should have won at least 2 out of 3.

The field position just killed us in the 1st half - Pigeon being out hurt bad. And Casey has to learn how to throw the ball over the defensive line if he's ever going to be a good QB.

I give Thompson all the credit in the world for hanging in there and making a game of it with the beating he's taken the last few weeks. LaVar may have been the difference but there's no sense making excuses - maybe we'll have to get used to being just an average football program for awhile.

I suppose we could still end up in 1 of the lesser New Year's Day Bowls if Mich. gets in the BCS - I'm not sure what the situation is there with Minn. since we have the same Conference record. Anyone know?
