Well, I'm sure someone is going to land on me for this like a duck on a June bug, but talk about being mollycoddled!

I went fishing with my father when I was young. I did not enjoy it, although I understood his enjoyment. Even though I wasn't going out with him any longer, I was quite accustomed to gutting and scaling the fish he brought home for dinner.

Also even in NYC it was not all that long ago <VBG> that one bought a chicken for dinner and had to do a great deal of the "cleaning" for one's self. I am sure that I am not alone on this thread when I recall finding an egg "in transit" in a chicken I was dressing for dinner.

I have a good friend who hunts. I personally do not enjoy hunting, although I have done it and am one hell of a good shot; yet I frequently help him field dress in exchange for some excellent pheasant.

So when are you coming over for the fried rabbit? Although, unless they are very young, braising is more attractive in bringing out the flavor while keeping the tenderness and making a superb gravy.
