>>From where I sit, the largest increase in employee defection from the large companies within the last 2 months has been CSCO

Well then, it's about time you flushed and moved on, but they say constipation does that. One thing is for sure, you have usually been wrong about Cisco.

>>You claim to know all, but in this case (like in the WCOM/LU argument) I am in a far better seat for viewing.

You haven't been right about most anything*. You were and are wrong about the LU debacle. If WCOM is presently increasing business with them I suspect it is only because LU has made very favorable terms to make up for their high profile example of poor performance. Ebbers likes discounts and I'll bet he exacted some good ones from LU. That development does not eliminate the past.

*My congratulations on your big sale of LU. Put some in the leader and you'll do better.

brian,

I all due respect I don't think anyone can really ascertain the degree to which employee's are leaving any of the leaders. LU is actively reducing staff. NT is losing optical engineers to ...what was it... Optical Networks or something like that up in Ontario...remember the company they took to court a couple of weeks back. I'm sure CSCO loses people too...some to go to start-ups, some to retirement, and some due to poor performance. These are normal activities for large growing businesses and are non-issues.
