AT&T TOPS IN 5 OF 8 CATEGORIES FOR OVERALL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION: SPRINT TAKES 3 CATEGORIES IN RECENT YANKEE GROUP SURVEY

BOSTON, Nov 22, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Consumers who use AT&T
as their primary long distance carrier have rated the company highest
in five of the eight categories of satisfaction. Sprint was rated
highest in three of the eight categories. These are among the many
findings in the recently completed annual Yankee Group survey of over 2,
200 U.S. households.

According to the survey results, AT&T received higher satisfaction
scores in the categories of professional and courteous personnel,
timely resolution of problems, quick access to customer service,
trustworthiness, and deserving of loyalty. Sprint was rated first in
the three areas, easy to understand bills, value for the money, and
high quality transmission. Of the three major long distance companies
serving the consumer market, MCI WorldCom was the only one that did not
come in first in any of the eight categories.

not losing site of providing quality long distance service as the

MCI WorldCom has had difficulty in achieving leadership in any category,
