Just a quick comment on the massive surge we've enjoyed:

Congratulations to all of the more recent CMGI shareholders -- the ones who bought in 1999 -- especially if you bought in the (split adjusted) 125-155 range. For some of us long-timers (well, you know, in Internet terms!) who have bases below $10, the bast 6-7 months have been unpleasant. But for you who've had to sit on that paper loss, well, I'm sure it's been damn uncomfortable. Now that for many your CMGI is now starting to convert back into the black again, I can only applaud your patience. Your perseverance has been rewarded.

James, your CMGI assessment is correct as I see it. I stopped position trading it about a month ago for no intelligent reason. I have day and position traded all year(to learn it and see if I'm tough enough) I'm not. Aside from CMGI, I have a fat 0 gain-no blood, and a lot of useless experience. CMGI was the huge star not included in the 0 gain. Wake up call? I guess. Today I sold all holdings at the open at market. Don't care anymore. You can guess what I bought at at 135, 137, and 141 (ouch) with the $.

My move came as the result of a poster on this Board or Yahoo or somewhere that said his sister looks at the CMGI in her dresser drawer every 6 months or so. I like that idea and I'm going to run with it. My CMGI shares are not for sale under any circumstances. No stops.

I am done trading. Instead, I am going to take a hard look at the problems CMGI has on getting the message of investor value out to the public and institutions. Buying one of these damn Mac G-4 things and I'm going to turn my wife lose on CMGI. There is no deficiency in this company, its management, its evolving business plan(s) or anything else.
It needs to really think hard on "the increasing investor value thing" and if they can't do it for themselves, by god, I'll have my wife do it for them and join the line of the 2,000 a month, they say, with something that will burn the frigging paint off their mailbox. A graphic designer she talked to said the COMDEX presentation was "immature." And this is where the convergence between simple advertising and approach to the public meets investor value.

CMGI's fundamental issue is PR. It's as simple as that. A question of perception. A marketing problem in my opinion is where the answer lies in matching value with the the public's, shareholder's, and institution's perception.

Regards,

George K.

PS: DW, look the hell out when my wife comes at you with her 25 shares and gives you a whooping. I'll warn you though, she may demand another 25 shares. In 30 seconds she saw what was wrong. Would you guys buy my wife or a 50% piece?

PPS: Dave, on the G-4 thing, I liked the pool, Paris trip, etc.. Got a G-4 in the basement you could send up?
