Hi guys,

I have a new job.... Yeay Yeay !!..

It's a technology Architect position, at a large corporation, doing contract work for Andersen Consulting...

Why am I saying this ?

1- I am happy <g>

2- I cannot believe the technology sun is involved in at this time, from Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), N-Tier systems, the JavaOne conference highlights, Java as an enterprise platform, the JDK 1.2, the JAVA API extensions ( Java Card, 3D, Media , Mail, etc), Java Foundation classes, you name it...

This large company ( I cannot say which) is going to completely reorder their IT infrastructure with SUN servers, EMC storage, and especially SAP R/3 (mysap.com) and Java/EJB and other sun initiatives...

Wow....

I KNEW SUN was on a roll, with their servers and cheap UNIX workstations (Ultra 10's)... Now I see the payoff from the software division (Java and other initiatives) and I cannot believe it...

This position I got, thank God, is pretty senior, and I have seen everything in the works. I am flabbergasted at thr breath of the SUn vision, thin-client, N-tier, web-centric & ERP computing that will transform this organisation.

Keep you SUN, this company is going towards 200B market cap next year, and $ 300B the year after.

I hope I was not too breathless, but I just had to share this with you. Microsoft on the other hand will dominate departemental systems (and not enterprise) and the client.

So both will win, and you should have both really, once the bull!@#$ of the trial is over..

Take care everyone
Jean

Re: Sun does not breakout ANY percentages

No they just list the revenues from both products and services, one has to do one's own the percentage calculation.

:)
