I haven't had any venison in 5 years. I need to talk to my neighbor and see if they're still getting in her garden. Wonder how hard it would be to make a silencer for a 7mm mag. Best eating deer I ever had was a buck that dressed out 227 pounds. Lots more useable meat on the bigger bucks than say on a doe that dresses out at 150. Better flavor and texture too. Best eating venison came off a big bull moose a friend got. I hate skinning squirrels. The meat wants to peel off with the skin. If it ever gets cold I may take my Kate dog down to the timber and let her harvest some rabbits and squirrels for the table. With her I don't need a gun.
