Jim.. The problem is this.. What makes the most sense pisses off the most people.. You and I think that Platininum accounts or heavily traded accounts should get higher priority than the guy with 10 minimum balance accounts..

IMO only trading accounts should get IPO's. No IRA accounts at all.

Also, They should only allow 1 qualifying account per household. So you can't have an account for your cat or something stupid like that. Then they need to actually regulate the flipping situation.

I'll be the first to admit that I break the multiple account rule and the flipping rule right now. But if it meant a better chance at allocations, I would gladly give up the two IPO accounts. And Would actually be more selective as to the IPO's I would ask for. Wit has a good situation going but the flipping policy needs to be shortened to 30 days.

Now if E-trade could get their head out of their arse long enough to execute a trade correctly I will be exstatic.

M

NO NO No. Please dont propose a cap to the number of IPOs/account.

e.g. somebody gets FDRY and his quota is over.
Somebody gets IWIN and his quota is over.

Whaterver u do, it is not possible to satisfy every segment of etrade account holders.
