I remember talking to a Rambus employee at MPR, and I brought up an idea similar to yours, where one module would contain two or more RDRAM channels running through it. Unfortunately, I don't have any visibility into Rambus' future plans, so I can't say whether Rambus is already thinking or even implementing the idea or not.

Are all DDR chips 16-bit? I've heard about 32-bit DDR chips, but because of the larger size of those chips, the DRAM manufacturers might as well just stick to PC800 RDRAM chips.
