i read an interview with armstrong 3 months ago in connection with voice transmission. when asked if & when t would consider cdma (vs tdma) his one word reply was "never". he does not strike me as someone with the ego to retreat from such an adamant position

T's creation of a tracking stock signals that major wireless capital expenditures are coming soon, IMO. CDMA? They don't want the expenditures to hurt the T's earnings, so they create a tracking stock like Sprint did with PCS and book the expenditures with the new entity.
