Thanks for the news... I love watching history in the making even if it is just a Canadian exchange <gg>

I don't think it has been mentioned here but is important.... On Oct 1/99 the TSE announced new listing requirements. Any company that doesn't meet these requirements must be off the TSE within 6 months and must notify shareholders 30 days before they delist. From all the talks I have had it looks like 25-30% of the companies do not meet the new listing requirements.

Here are the big ones that a lot of companies don't fit.

OUTLINE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENTS

i) Introduction of a minimum total market capitalization requirement of $3.0 million over a 30-day trading period; and
ii) Increase in minimum market value of public float from $1.0 million to $2.0 million over a 30-day trading period.
i) Industrial Companies - Increase minimum levels of revenues ($1
million to $3 million) total assets ($2 million to $3 million), and
R&D expenditures ($500,000 to $1 million) and elimination of the net tangible asset requirement.
ii) Resource Companies - Increase minimum exploration and/or development expenditures ($250,000 to $350,000), revenue from sale of
commodities ($1 million to $3 million), and replace quantified
working capital requirement with requirement for adequate working capital.
