JDSU is indeed a King not a Gorilla ... but with all the acquisition activity and the addition of more IPR I think that they could evolve to Gorilla status

If I were to add a stock to my portfolio, it would be JDSU. But, once a king, always a king", I am afraid.

We all have this desire to make our favorite stock a Gorilla. Just pride, I guess. But there is nothing wrong with being a King. I have made a lot of money with Kings and Princes.

I think that, by our extremely high return standards. JDSU has several years to go before they get pricing pressure that will affect the stock price.

You can bet your boots that every tech company in the world that could compete with them is looking at their sales and markup and ramping up competitive products to them.

And remember, their customers will welcome the competitive companies sales reps with open arms. It will be an easy sale. If you are a buyer, you hate the fact that you have to buy only from JDSU, and you want to get a second source going.

No company, other than a Gorilla, can get away with this type of business for very long without heavy competition.

But, in the meantime, enjoy the ride, people!
