coug - I think your analysis of today's trading is right on - Congrats on the long trade. I shorted at 11 7/16 and will hold until the cows come home. ADSP's "technology" is nothing (really) - a niche play at best - a bust at worse. I would not buy ADSP over CSCO or LU even at $100/port savings. The Linux play is just a PR manip. It would be SO EASY for the big boys to become Linux-comaptible in no time IF Linux pans out. ADSP will be sub $10 by Monday IMO. I also sincerely believe that ADSP wil be down around $6 next week - that is still an 80% premium over the price before the announcement. That is the most that this PR could be worth in anyone's dreams. Good luck.

Went long at the close, just pulling the slots on the way out...funny part was, I first tried to short it but no shares...then I came here and gosh, I thought I was over at Yahoo...pretty obvious there were plenty of shares to borrow elsewhere!

Linux sure intrigues me. I look at RHAT and just shake my head. Now I know this ADSP can't be compared, but take a look at RHAT and tell me how it's $168...actually, no, don't tell me. Also see RHAT short interest almost doubled in the last month. Hey, just stuff to look at, and I'm not saying ADSP is RHAT. (And I don't trade RHAT.) If anything, ADSP is like CNTR. Another goofball.

I don't much care which way this thing goes. I'm only in for a couple hundred shares; I wouldn't want to be large on either side of this. My point is that so many dripping red ink companies, many of them giving their stuff away, and many of them just middlemen, are getting truly unbelievable and IMO unrealistic values. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this thing goes to 30 and back to 5 in a week.

For that matter, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets halted. Anybody remember Commerce Group Corp. earlier this year? Gold mining company that put out a press release announcing a web portal. Totally just a concept they had. "Gee, those web guys are doing great, why don't we just announce that we're doing it too?" (Really funny as hell when you think about it.) Halted, then delisted.

Today it happened to be "digital phone connection" and, of course, reference to those ADSP peers, Cisco and Lucent. ROTFLMAO...

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
