P3, even the analysts who recently recommended WSTL seemed to have pretty flimsy reasons for the recommendation. For ex., Warburg Dillon analyst projected a loss for 1999, 2000, 2001, and finally, a profit of all of 4 cents for 2002. Based on that huge 4 cent profit for 2002, the analyst gave a price target of $14. A price that gives the stock a 350 PE ratio looking forward to 2002.

If that is the prognosis, I'd say its a good bet that the bandits will be able to manufacture a reset of the conversion ceiling to $4.46 come April of 2000. Which means the stock would have to be trading at or below that price by April.

I would not bet against the bandits getting their reset in April. Does that mean the stock won't go higher between now and then? No.
