Monu: Several points. The number of copies available of a text does not make it factual, nor does the texts reference to actual geographical locations. If that is the case, the Stephen Kings book titled "The Stand" must be considered gospel because it fits both of those criteria.

In addition you cannot call something written almost 2000 years ago fact, unless there is ongoing factual support for that text AND it suports reality as we know and experience it. Neither of which is true.

As for history. There are a ton of historical documents that refer to Ceasar, while there are only two (outside of biblical texts) supporting the exsistance of jesus. The two were BOTH written by Josephus (SP?). One is mention from a matter of fact stance, and the second according to most scholars, written from a christian stance, appears to be a forgery. THE OTHER FIVE HISTORIANS OF THE TIME MAKE NO MENTION OF JESUS AT ALL. Odd that someone doing the things claimed by christians would make so little impact?

As for backing up claims? NOT. Don't use 200 year old claims to support your faith. Show me one place on this planet where the miracles and other things claimed in the bible are in FACT going on today. And by the way, for every miricle you claim as being accomplished by jesus, there are a dozen others being accomplished in a doezen other religions. So who is the fraud? Or is there a larger law at work?

As for jesus offering himself - and I hope you read this far - he was not the first. There are 16 other religions predating christianity that make the exact same claims. Why is yours so right and theirs so wrong?

Lastly. Trust me when I say I know the difference you speak of between devout christians and religous people and I respect your faith in all honesty. HOWEVER, truth is not all black and white as you claim. There are many other factors you fail to consider.
