Probably the most credible site I've found

www3.techstocks.com

I would pay particular attention to posts by Frank Coluccio. This thread has some of the best information you will ever be able to find on @HOME, Cable, and Broadband. Just takes some time to sift through the junk (which seems to be a little more prevalent these days)

To narrow your search down, start around Oct/98

Regards
Jay

"Can someone please help me find a credible informative web site describing ATHM bottle neck / back log situation."

Hi Bob- All of us live in various parts of the U.S. Maybe we could all call our local cable company and see exactly what the wait time is for @Home. In my area, the wait is about a week with conditions being exactly right. It could be longer. With the bombardment of ads lately for AT&T@Home, the wait might be more. Richie commented on the availability and wait in his area. I would like to know about other people. That would give us a hint of the current demand. If the company reports that an installer could make it in a week or two, then demand is there. If they report they could come this afternoon, I'd be worried.

Until yesterday, I thought I had seen everything. I was bored and wanted a magazine to read, as I was visiting relatives. I went to the local grocer and reached for a Field & Stream. Do you know what was enclosed with the magazine? One of those damn AOL disks! I just about crapped! It won't be long until we can't hide from them anymore! Did anyone find a disk inside their turkey?!!

Have a great day, everyone!
