Frank,

I started looking through the fm trying to find a passage that supports my preoccupation with quarterly results...

Actually, preoccupation with quarterly results is admirable within the bounds of gorilla-gaming that emphasizes revenue growth during the tornado. I'm only suggesting that knowing the earnings report dates and earnings estimates isn't a prerequisite for tracking revenue if one is reasonably organized and has online access to that info.

I know a lot of people who know the consensus estimate and the date of the earnings report, but don't have a true handle on a particular company's core business. I realize that's not true of most people following this thread, but you get the point.

By the way, I'm using this holiday period as an opportunitity to do a second reading of Tornado. I'm using up a lot of page points with the idea that I'll be able to post some ideas that I think will be immensely helpful to us as we track the progress of the companies in the W&W portfolio. I hope we will be able to use these ideas to fine-tune an investment strategy that will be an improvement on the authors' strategy of buying a basket of gorilla-wannabe stocks. I hope so anyway.

On behalf of myself and my family, I'd like to give thanks to the wealth (literally) of knowledge that I have acquired from you all. My parents used to think I was wasting my time on the internet until I gave you all credit for their late-March purchase of the Q and their pre-triple digit purchase of GMST. I haven't heard any complaints since <gg>.

I am also pleased to tell everyone that I have surpassed my goal of my assets' net worth of $25,000 by the time I graduate, and I still have another year and a half of school left <g>!! I know, small beans compared to most others on this thread, but it's a lot for us college kids :o)

Happy holidays to all,
Justin
