Surf - I think you must have read a different message than the one I sent. Never did I say the meeting was unimportant, or insignificant. On the contrary, I said... 'I make the assumption then, that the conference is a negotiation deadline by Wi-LAN. At that point, there will be an agreement between Wi-LAN and Cisco, quickly sanctioned by the wireless world, or there will be an OFDM war, and the battle lines will be drawn, right there and then. Companies will align in opposition." On the subject of wireless wars I said... "It means an OFDM war. Wireless has shown a tendency not to go there." And finally, on the "WIN-WIN situation", I said... "So what will happen? Okay, here's my guess - I think that there's a better chance that Cisco will make a deal favourable to Wi-LAN and Philips, at the last minute. There will be general backslapping and grandstanding at the December 2 conference, and the battle that never was will be smothered under a pile of warm fuzzy words like accord, cooperation, and understanding, lest the public get a glimpse of the realities." Surf, if you're disagreeing with me, hey, that's okay. But if you're disagreeing with what I posted well, your position and mine look very similar. Am I missing something here? Regards, Jim
