rude....Not a bad scenario and not very different from mine. Here it is: Bottom 23, 28 by year end, 31-33 by Q4 earnings announcement then attempts base at that level. May succeed in basing there, but just as easily could drop back to 28-30 with profit-taking and slow Q1 anticipation. In that case, 28-30, which had previously offered strong resistance, would then become certain base. 40 by end of Q2(6/31). 12/31/2000 will see new all-time high, barring market meltdown. Anyone else care to venture a guess??? El

rudedog,
Hope 4Q report is out fast. Prior to option expiry would be great. <G> However, the 4Q is usually a little slower then the the rest.

Rude-- I too expect those in at 20 and under to start selling at the first drop. 30 IS possible but 28 more likely by the end of the year. 40 after the numbers-- well,, I REALLY hope that happens for the 1/2 going after the 1st of the year. Soon people will realize Y2K is a dead bug in this country. Who better positioned to help Asia and SA in Jan than cpq? I look for this qtr and next to do well and the charge over the next 2 qtrs to be hardly noticed in the bottom line. The big things have already been taken care of. A little pep talk from MC would do wonders about now... He has an idea things should be good by now.. THANKS!

Love your optimism and hope you are correct.

It would be nice to see CPQ out of a red mark on my
scan each day.

Suma.

Dog,

It looks like DELL is pricing its 8P NT system about 24% less than CPQ's equivalent offering. This should bring DELL into the Enterprise market even more solidly.

Thanks for the TPC reference.
