Hi Ed, Don't misunderstand me. CC does some things with very thin traders that are "questionable" (best term I could use <gg>), but to say they manipulate a stock like UBS is also a <ggg>. I'll take a stab on your questions. Q:How come on we usually see CC on the negative side of the House Positions, instead of the positive side???... My A: They take down a great many PP's and flowthrough issues which do not count as a "booked buys". We will only see this stock on the sell side. Thus, there should be an imbalance. As we know, the risk of flothroughs and some PP's is incredible and I'll bet you a cyberbeer a lot of those flo thru shares never see the market cuz when they become free-trading, the market for the company is in shambles (or there is no market). CC is a friend to the small cap seed financing market. They deserve to get out at a higher price sometimes. They incur huge risk and no doubt take a ton of zeros. 2. When we find that they are on the positive side, it's ususally follows a morning cup 'o chit and within a few few days we see them on the negative side and rather quickly... I get the M coffee and I throw up all of the mentionables on my screen. I havent noticed that, but I'll look closer. A lot of the stuff are analyst recommendations. We have spoken about this before: How many times have we seen analyst recommendations and then the house is suddenly losin' cheap PP stock??? A million times!! But, it isnt just CC. All of em do it. Last question, I don't know. All I can figure is they have to clean up positions on margin and shorts as per the rules of the IDA (?). I've been to the a "small" house trading floor. The scene is 20 or 30 (mostly guys) sitting in chairs behind long desks trading. They are just like us. They get in something at 1.25 and they are out at 1.30. One friend who is at a small house plays CDN OTC stuff and he looks for a half penny on trades. No manipulation, just people trading. That's why CC trading so much of the UBS is not a surprise to me. They are flipping it for pennies cuz they know the stock and it's really active. That's why you see CC and others have a very small spread on the average price sells and average price buys (like with UBS) when you check em on CSW. It may sound like Im blowin smoke but I've seen this stuff with my own eyes and it's nothin like Fuddle contends (fundamentally at least... I'm sure bad stuff happens but for the most part it's legit tradin'). Best regards Ed, Dean PS: If you're in town give me a ring and we'll head down to the house I deal with and you can check it out if you're interested. It's kinda cool to watch when things (esp mining stuff) are running.
