I had to wait a month for my iMac DV SE from the Apple store but I finally got it a week and a half ago. I spent some time working with iMovie and it seems to be a fairly full-featured video production tool. Then I borrowed my sister's digital camcorder the other day. I plugged it in to the Firewire port, brought up iMovie, clicked Play and bingo, I'm watching the tape in the camera - on my iMac. It's awesome! However, as soon as you start using something like iMovie, you really wish you had bought the G4. Rendering stuff like cross-dissolves between clips takes 20-30 seconds each, and you can only run four at a time!
