Twenty centuries ago, Jesus came into the world to preach a doctrine of love and gentleness. It is still with us. In 1882 philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche , also speaking for many intellectuals declared, "God is dead." As the year 1900 approached, many secular thinkers, including George Bernard Shaw, argued that the dawning 20 century would mark the close of histories religious phase. But here we are, at the thresh hold of a new millinium, and Christianity is alive and well in the hearts and minds of countless believers. In West Africa pagans who have become Christians have built one of the largest Churches in the world, roughly the size of St. Peters in Rome. In Russia, the Meuseum of Religion and Atheism is no9w a Church of the Orthodox Christian faith. In the United States, nearly one half of the population attend a place of worship- with regularity. Catholicism is spreading in South Africa, Protestant evangelism in Latin America. Christianity is even growing in China, despite 50 years of the communists trying to subvert it. The Catholic Church, for the first time has more than a Billion members, and other Christian Churches have almost as many followers. One theme of Jesus teachings are particularly relevant today. This central theme is that God, not man, is the final authority. God has rights. Human beings have duties; we deny God his rights at our peril. The atheist and agnostics are missing a central part of life by their intellectualizing form of non-reality egotism. Praise God, The Son, and the Holy Spirit in this third millinium! He is our righteous King and Savior! James Garrett Anyone else care to attest to this using their real name? Come out of the closet for Jesus!
