Kash,
elmer is selling puts.
He believes the stock will stay where it is or MOVE UP.

If this company sucks as bad as he says, then I surely wouldn't be selling puts under it.

Make it so,
Mysef

Re: "So Elmer, based on your loss prediction of $0.65 are u now "short" AMD. Hopefully you will be betting your life savings on the incompetence of AMD just like yousef."

Krash, I made that prediction a month or so ago, before the glimmer of hope for profits. I realize it is unlikely but isn't this contest just for fun anyway? What's the big deal? I stuck with my original guess. So shoot me.

Re: "Do tell us your the price when you went "short"."

I post all my trades here in real time. I have never been short AMD shares.

Re: "And to give yourself some backbone you can keep looking at Intels "fudged" prefetch benchmarks on how great Intels coppermine is."

Aren't you the one who insisted I was a liar over and over again when I told everyone that CuMine would be neck 'n neck with Athlon in Integer performance? You said I was posting Bull Sh*t when I posted CuMine would be within a few % of Athlon in FP. Now you're trying to find excuses for why it's so far ahead in both. You sure look like an idiot in retrospect. Keep it up.

kash - <And to give yourself some backbone you can keep looking at Intels "fudged" prefetch benchmarks on how great Intels coppermine is.>

You are a tough read. Some days you acknowledge the benchmarks, the next day you call them fudged. You are not very consistant. I can understand changing one's mind in the face of new information, but your gyrations leave me stymied.

Any comments about these 3rd party BAPCo SysMark 98 results and simulations?

Kash, <And to give yourself some backbone you can keep looking at Intels "fudged" prefetch benchmarks on how great Intels coppermine is.>

Or look at AMD's "fudged" prefetch benchmarks (+20% on SPECint, +50% on SPECfp, both due to 266 MHz bus and "projected compiler and prefetch optimizations") and see how great AMD's Athlon is "projected" to be.

The only difference is that one of those "fudged" benchmarks is a reality, while the other "fudged" benchmark won't be reality for a while. Aren't benchmark games fun?
