Donna,

I took an opportunity to voice an opinion that, judging from the number of pm's I received, is widely echoed behind closed doors.

Everyone has a right to withhold or express an opinion, but I don't take a lot of stock (no pun intended) in an opinion that is widely expressed behind closed doors and withheld from the public that is being accused. I'm not suggesting that the opinion expressed behind closed doors is wrong. Instead, I'm suggesting that it's difficult to give it the credence it might deserve.

Just my opinion.

>> I regret that you have chosen to see this in such a defensive way. My reaction to LindyBill's post was part of the discussion regarding GroupThink and something I sincerely felt.

Donna, the Group Think issue was raised with regards to investment decisions. Your accusations about gender bias were spurious as they didn't address that topic. I might add that your comments about pre-boomers as a group border on age discrimination. It would be more appropriate to cite me and/or Lindy Bill as curmudgeons than to attack the entire set of male seniors.

Donna
regarding your sale of gemstar shares. i hope you will reconsider buying them back.
i listened to the last confrence call and one of the analysts had the very same opinion regarding the website fiasco as you do.
henry stated very clearly that it has been a major source of embaressment for him. reading between the lines, i said to myself that someone's head is about to get chopped off, a guy like henry doesn't take to being embaressed in front of people lightly. i am sure the site will be fixed very shortly. it would be a shame for you to miss out waiting for something that i think is a done deal.
