Do you often take a position in a stock before you publicly announce it? Are you aware that many of your followers blindly mimic your trades? Do you hope that the resulting buying pressure will lead to a rise in price? Aren't you mostly trading momentum stocks that require quick exits? Do you usually exit a position before announcing it?

If you answered yes to those questions, then you are -- by definition -- engaging in at least a benign form of "pumping" and "dumping." The "fiction" would be to kid yourself into sincerely believing that you're not exploiting your popularity for personal gain.
