I do NOT recommend an Omnipoint GSM subscription as primary. Although Hutchinson is providing lots of funds to improve Omnipoint's NorthEast buildout there is a long way to go. << Hutchison Telecom has been operating a CDMA network there for sometime now >> Yes but ... Check out: omnipoint.com Click on Travel Coverage I use Omnipoint for European travel with the older Bosch Worldphone to supplement my BAM subscription. The newer ERICY is supposed to be excellent.
