Wow. Thanks for the info! I never heard of OmniPoint until now. I will immediately order the Ericsson 1888. Now I can first hand compare it's data capability to that of the QCP.

You're right about BAM's coverage in New England. They're strong in the south east.

Ok, I called Omnipoint this afternoon to order the E-1888. And guess what? Motorola just released a new world phone model L7089. This handset isn't even on their website yet. It's a couple bucks more, but is nearly half the size of the 1888. I'll have it by early next week.

One phone number, one world. Sweet. (But I'll still keep the Touchpoint and QCP. I rarely use land lines so extra wireless ones are handy.)
