Easton Minerals has suspended negotiations with Paramount Ventures and
Finance Inc. to acquire their 30-per-cent interest in two private Brazilian
companies owned by Paramount in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil.
Paramount has offered to pay $50,000 (U.S.) to compensate for Easton's
expenses.
Easton is continuing discussions with a Brazilian investor that holds a
20-per-cent interest in these two private Brazilian companies to acquire
his interest.
Mr. Paul Conroy of Paramount Ventures reports
Paramount Ventures has terminated the agreement with Easton Minerals due to
the fact that Easton Minerals was unable to pay the initial payment of
$100,000 (U.S.) due Nov. 25, 1999. There are no further amounts owing from
either party.

Is this a technical out? Did they have the money but not on Nov 25 as per the contract? Time is of the essence.
