Philips Electronics had plans to sell 150,000 shares of JDS Uniphase, valued at an estimated $30.5 million, according to regulatory filings released early Tuesday.

Dutch-based Philips (PHG: news, msgs) offered the shares beginning Nov. 19.

JDS Uniphase (JDSU: news, msgs), based in San Jose, Calif., manufactures fiberoptic communications products. The company announced plans last week to acquire U.K.-based, fiberoptic telecommunications supplier SIFAM Limited.

There are an estimated 111 million shares of JDS Uniphase outstanding. The stock closed down 23 3/8 at 228 3/4.

All Stocks that are US firms in S&P500 which are larger than JDSU in the NASDAQ are now included in the S&P500.

Looks like we are next on the list. Comcast and Telllabs (just smaller than us) are also in the S&P...Just a matter of time..
