young simians in the Telecosm world who are out performing silverbacks Intel and Microsoft.

The young usually outperform the old, at least short term. After all, if you have a Young Gorilla with a market cap of 10 Billion going against an old one with a market cap of 100 Billion, it is pretty obvious which one will show the best stock performance. How many times can you double before you run out of room?

If I had to put my maiden aunt into stocks tomorrow, and not worry about her having to end up paring cheese in an attic, I would put her into MSFT, INTC, CSCO, and QCOM, 25% each, and sleep nights knowing she could always live off them for the next 10 years. They are going to be around and do well for a long time.

Never underestimate the staying power of an old Gorilla. When I dance at the Derby tonite, some guy there who is 25 years old is going to look one hell of a lot better than I am, but, 6 months from now, he will be long gone, and I will still be there, looking good, and dancing up a storm!

>> You know, I could be wrong.

That's correct. You are wrong. JDSU is not a simian, Tom. You are coming to your conclusions based on an investment window about the length of your pinkie finger and an imperfect understanding of Gorilla gaming. I think you need to re-rtfm.

Sorry for the intrusion, folks, but watching the direction this thread is taking is like watching one of my kids get into drugs.

Poet & Jill: If I still get a vote, I say take the options stuff elsewhere, and don't put a G&K label on it; I created that handle to describe a safe ltb&h strategy.
