Uncle Franq,

Welcome back. You've been missed. Hope this starts a new era of your posts here. All I can say is it's about #&@*$ time! Sorry, it's the curmudgeon in me.

Frank,

I have no reason to question Poet's integrity. As for not having an axe to grind, anyone who votes has the axe to sharpen that reflects the vote. As an example, my axe would be to create a new thread.

If Poet, Jill and others want to consider the idea of discussing options here or elsewhere, I have every reason to believe they will do what they truly believe constitutes the consensus of the thread. Even so, it's not my opinion that the consensus should be the determining factor; in my mind the determining factor should be that no particularly significant group of people who have supported and nurtered the thread be offended by changing the thread's scope.

Just my opinion.

As for fact, I will delete all PMs that "vote" and I won't forward the results to anyone, publicly or privately.

Let's pick someone of unquestioned integrity and no axes to grind, and PM them our votes

hi uncle frank and mike,
the two of you, coupled with the other serious and dedicated gamers have an awesome thing going here. personally, i have learned tons. the demand to rtfm and stay on "appropriate game strategy discussion" seems quite reasonable to me...afterall it is your thread and game.

i cannot tell you how much i have gained taking your advice to rtfm.

this is the best thread i have found anywhere. most posters to this thread heartily agree with that. anyone who does not see the value of "focusing" on ya'lls insight and analysis (like mike's post on remedy) is missing the whole point.

i will hang with downsouth and say no vote. why screw around with perfection.

everyone does not fit in everywhere. i say let those who do not like your thread creation and direction vote with their feet, or cooperate and live within the framework you have created.
