hmmm...that will probably be challenged by the weight of documentation showing that these offenders are never totally rehabilitated. I kind of agree with the sex orientation people here; although, I don't promote their right to act out their orientation anymore than I condone straight people acting out their heterosexual fantasies against another persons rights.

You know, Bill, this is a really thorny issue. On the one hand, a neighborhood should be able to protect its children. If I had a young child and a convicted child molester moved next door, I'd want to know so that I could caution my child and take precautions myself. On the other hand, however, it opens the door to ferocious harassment of a person who may not be a danger and can destroy the person's attempt to get on with life utterly.

And what about the cases in which it is discovered afterward that the person had not, in fact, molested any child? Even though innocent, the person's life could be ruined.

Here is a messy one...Prosecutors told jurors Tuesday that the murder of Oumar Dia by white supremacist Nathan Thill was a deliberate act - not a manic outburst by a mentally ill man. Thill is the son of his mothers employer. She was his baby sitter as a teen. Then when she got married the step dad was also abusive. So, here is Nathan with all kinds of mental struggles. If he had killed his parents, or if he were a female killing her husband this would be a long trial.
