If this is the case you have to start considering that the tracking stock might in fact be a tourniquet applied prior to amputation. I'm not saying that this is the case, but that this may be the case. I don't think that we should just take it at face value and swallow the company PR whole.

Grace i am familiar with spin offs but not tracking stocks Spin offs can be used to shed debt and liability or increase value. This purchase of excite was blunder in my opinion and the tracking stocks a cover for the blunder and time to right the product.

Suppose you spin Excite! off to put your core business on neutral ground. What if the Yahoo's develop kickass broadband content and you are stuck with Excite 3D Weather? Why not have content providers compete for frontending @Home service? Where are the Hindrey bashers?!! Come out, come out, where ever you are!
