there's only one problem. if you look at the financials ( i know i know..sorry to bring that up) you will find that msft outperforms your darling in EVERY single financial metric. that DESERVES a higher p/e ratio. instead you have sun.com with a 50% higher p/e than msft. go figur.

i have never said the p/e has to be compared to a growth rate. i don't believe in that rule. two companies could be growing at the same rate but one, msft, could be far far more profitable. THAT deserves a higer p/e ratio. I look at more than growth rate to assign a p/e ratio.
