I think the asians, who believe they are being discriminated against, actually benefit from quotas, because my contention is that this group needs to learn leadership and creativity moreso than how to take tests. Now, these are all sweeping generalizations I realize and I don't want to seem harsh. But if you could have seen my class at Cal vs. the makeup of what I see in industry its pretty shocking. The problem is, on an individual level, if you have a kid that is scoring 730 on his psat's and based on his ethnicity he can't go to Lowell where some white kid gets in with 700, well thats going to be an issue for every parent I suspect. But they are looking at the situation very short-sightedly, or they don't know whats going on in industry or something.
