O/T--Marc-I have been watching HRC closely for awhile now--I keep asking myself-"Is this just a triangle and therefore a prelude to a new low?"----and "or,is this a series on 1-2's getting itself into a coiled spring mode from which to jump higher"--I keep vacillating between the 2--Yesterday, it looked like it wanted to pop and today back it goes into the bowl. A few days ago, I flipped through the Nov24 multi page SSB article on it and came away thinking "HRC's margins are even now still much higher than their competitors' and last qtr HRC's plummeted-maybe they will plummet again?" and I noted that we are now in eps warning season time. So, there is a lot of nervousness out there. Haven't a clue which way it is going to turn at the moment. I don't put much faith in all the insider buying in mid Sept since they wouldn't then know what Q4 was going to be like and, besides, they borrowed from the company on what may be the never, never plan (if it doesn't work out, maybe we'll forgive the loan after a few years--the way some of these types of 'loans' do). Call me a nervous holder, hoping we can get through Dec still above 5 and with no eps warning. If they make SSB's 17c estimate (Q3 was 16c, and margins stabilize near the 27% of Q3, the stock will likely double to test 10ish early next yr on a great sigh of relief rally. But of course that's the bullish case. Scrushy doesn't exactly make me feel confident, which is also bothering me. We shall soon see!
