Well luckily the Boston Tea "Partiers" didn't settle for just one day of legal protest.

The whole point is, they got violent, out of control.

Please be specific about the "they." There were in excess of 30,000 people there. How many were actively violent and destructive? The best estimates I have seen are 100. That's not much of a "they."

They were given a day to protest peacefully

Hmmm. I missed that part of the First Amendment that says that the state shall not abridge the right of the people peaceably to assemble and petition for redress of grievances "but only on such days and in such places as the government may allow." Can you please point that clause out to me?

<<<Clinton supposedly even had plans to meet with the protestors, but they blew it!>>>

Actually I heard on the news that later today (Wed) Clinton DID meet with some of the organizers of the protest.

The protest was a big success, in spite of the vandalism. Now people all over the world are thinking "What is this WTO?" That's the first step in making them accountable.
