OZ,

It just seems rather strange to me why lots of people have virtually no problems. Not just me. And only a few seem to have nothing but problems. Maybe everyone else is just out of step but those three or four people. But then, I just daytrade the e-mini, so what do I know? Sometimes the level of arrogance on this thread amazes me. FWIW, I do monitor some equities, and I have three separate quote services and have very few problems with any of them (although less with QC than the others). What I don't do is try to shove 1000 symbols down a 33.6K single modem connection and then bitch and moan why things aren't working like a direct connection on the NASDAQ mainframe. I've seen screen shots from some of the workspaces and they have 15 charts in all kinds of timeframes, watch lists of 30-40 symbols, time and sales, position windows-- all of it through a single ISP connection! Then they have the audacity to belly ache about the poor quote service. Frankly, I'm growing weary of wasting my time trying to help people who have no interest in solving their problems. I only wish they would solve their problems. I have spent literally hours trying to help different ones fix problems (on this thread and via PM). I think that gives me the right to state my opinion (however qualified you may find it). But other than your criticism of me, I don't see you contributing much to solving their problems at all. Maybe you could pitch in and help and maybe take the load off of some of us less qualified individuals. Just an opinion...

Matt

"I refuse to believe that while you are holding your futures
contracts, that you are actually flipping through hundreds
of chart like many of the daytraders are"

Hundreds of stocks?? Does that sound like they lack a plan? Are we to think that those complaining here are going thru 100s of charts a day? Maybe that is the problem, Qcharts just can't handle load. They need to get a program that can. With the money that all daytraders are making they can afford anything.

If you do this, hundreds of stocks, why not try to do it at night to check if Qcharts can do it with no load on the system. It would be an interesting experiment. My vote is that 80% of problems seen are connections and computer setups. You bring in a new element, someone opening hundreds of charts during the day and having problems opening them.
