You are 1/4 Cherokee? Then your ancestors must have travelled the "Trail of Tears." What would you call THAT, if not a classic example of an action fuelled by "prejudice against Indians" and the belief in "manifest destiny"?

I am part Choctaw- and my husband is part Cherokee. That has nothing to do with anything. Or is the very fact that you are a teeny bit Indian proof that everything you say is correct? Or just on this issue? Or every issue? What if you were 100% Chinese? Would you still be correct?

Hope you'll excuse my curiousity, but does 1/4 Cherokee mean you had a Cherokee grandparent? May I ask where your Cherokee grandparent was born? Was he/she a tribal member and are you? Just asking as I estimate 10 - 20 % of the country claims to be part-Cherokee - usually through a grandmother.
