Anecdotal evidence of a Zicam's efficacy, while interesting, is NOT conclusive proof that the stuff works. I am sure that you and others truly believe Zicam has worked for you in a limited number of instances and it may very well have. Unfortunately, this is NOT a scientifically valid way of assessing the true efficacy of Zicam in the population at large. There are any number of reasons to suspect that Zicam will not work for most people most of the time and I have listed these reasons before. If GUMM came out with a truly valid clinical study proving, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Zicam works and the results were approved by the scientific/medical community at large, I would accept that conclusion, close my short position and shut up. However, they have STILL failed to do this, in spite of lots of promises. Therein lies my major gripe with Zicam and GUMM's claims regarding Zicam.
