<<As I mentioned, our mobile PIII systems have still not been delivered. I wonder how many customers worldwide are waiting on delivery and how long the shortage will ?>>

It's not so much of a shortage. It's "When will Dell lift the freeze on producing PIII systems?"

RE: I can't think of another reason that the Mobile Celerons systems would have taken over two months to ship. Dell invested a gob of money a few weeks ago in one of the companies that produces LCDs. The intent was to get to the top of the priority list for LCD deliver and to facilitate manufacture of the LCD's

Hi!!
Samsung I believe...Bonded quite a large sum of money so the building could start immediately...And, I believe DELL is getting the LCD's on priority due to this..During the last conference call it was mentioned that the Samsung deal was improving the availability...Perhaps this is also why they mentioned that margins were expected to increase...Also, noted during the call was a backlog going into Q4 i.e., notebooks...
As to the order you mentioned...Sorry, I have no clue..Perhaps it is just the chip mentioned...

Best, Kemble
