Well, of course parents are always hardest on their own kids, because they want them to be perfect, lol. But as I just posted to Michael, stealing from evil corporate empires is so common in our society I'd have a hard time prosecuting this if I were on a jury. This is not to say I would tell my kids it was ok - because it is surely not. But for example 60 minutes had a group of elderly on 2 weeks ago that drive to Canada every month to buy drugs... why? Because they are being "cheated" by the US drug companies. This is not a case where somebody else broke into a drug company and some senior was standing there and couldn't resist the opportunity (which is analgous to the Nike situation)... no, these people deliberately do this because they can, every month and here it is on TV televised as if its a-ok. So really, unless we as a society are going to clean up some of these double standards I can't see how it serves anyone to "throw the book" at some kids. I would say make them do some community service or something and embarrass them a little and leave it at that....ok, here comes the flames! lol
