*OT* Ah, so true. If I screw up, the IRA
is merely converted to Roth and I can
actually afford the taxes. Are you sure
you like these little biotechs, how about
some GM or XOM or Coke or something <g>.

I have not even got my 401k into anything
yet--it's been getting treasury rates this
past decade, ooof. I'm off to an okay start
with this trading thing...although I'll probably
tire of the hobby before I gain any real skill.

Worst investment missed...passed on a nice
lot in the San Juans...could have afforded
it, a hundred feet of water on Henry Island
I think it was. I'll bet that is up nicely
this past year. Never saw the lot, but Dad
described it, even had a little cabin. Otters
on the dock, peaceful. Maybe in 30 years.
Okay, last call, you can have the final
word tonight if you're still online :-)

Housekeeping...

Small Wonders sells off IMMU at 2.813 for gain of 104%. As noted previously, there seems to have been a money pump going between 1 and 1.5. So just to make sure we ain't party to such shenanagans (sp?- where's Dr. Voodoo when you really need him?) extending to 3 we are taking our profit and exiting stage right.

Looking to add some goodies; mostly McFarland brand stuff:

VLTS, MAGN, TGEN, maybe CNSI. Probably move SRK over here from the CRO portfolio where it doesn't belong. And add some Franklin Biotech for internal standard purposes. Looking at their holdings (up to 6/30/99 at least) it has some nice LTAB positions. Reading through the other funds, ho hum, Amgen Biogen, jeez even some Fannie Mae? Where do they get these fund managers? Even the ever lovely Janus family of funds that have been dang good to me over the years has a real howler for their Global Biotech portfolio.

Please go on with your discussion, guys.

BTW, if AVNR filed an NDA then its in CDER's hands and unlikely to get kicked over to CDRH which handles devices (and hence 510(k)s). OTC is CDER's baby as well.
