ahhaha,

It seems to me if Excite is eventually spun off, ATHM will revert back to being the infrastructure for all other Isps who want to go through cable. Doesn't this give them a true monopolistic position, like being the only utility co for cable internet? (unless of course AOL or MSPG builds their own). Is this an accurate interpretation?

In October ExciteAtHome said it had agreed to buy Bluemountain.com, the No. 1 online
greeting card company, for at least $780 million in cash and stock.

The acquisition requires a $350 million cash payment, and the proceeds from the note offering will provide those
funds, ExciteAtHome said.


ATHM is bribing about $50M to the Street to get them
approve of this 'smart' move in MHO.
