on a 3/2 split you get the same number of options, but they are worth 2/3 the current face strike, but each contract is 150 shares as opposed to 100.

There is a market for the Jan 100's because a bid price is listed. It seems so obvious, but as long as WCOM price is heading up, you will be okay, even 1 month from expiration. However, if WCOM and the market head down again from here, it is doubtful that your options will have a bid. There are big players that apparantly think the January 95 is a good contract to buy, as many thousands of those have crossed the tape this week. My advice is to hang in there. If you want to play big blocks of out of the moneys, you got to have the cajones to go with it.

Peace.

Howard, your options will be pro rated accordingly, so no problem there. WCOM could very well be up in the 90's prior to report date (1/28/00 ?) and your options worth a few beans...now around 1/2. If possible you may want to consider some deep in the money calls while the stock has been hurt recently! WCOM will certainly break 100 (MHO) but may need another QTR! - but wouldn't rule out by end of Jan/00.

Good luck,

FNS
