Trading discipline vs. chasing the mo-mo merry go round

This is so tempting for many to exit the Oilpatch here and to jump on the mo-mo train of the DOW & NASDQ move here. But, this is where discipline gets rewarded imho.

CNBC just showed a chart on JDS Uniphase - a 9 bagger from this spring - a literal spike. How and why are investors piling onto these insanely valued companies here ?

When the day comes and it will; someone is going to make a fortune on the short-side of these high flyers - near historic short side profits are looming. Time to start looking perhaps for a short selling fund manager with a sterling track record here imho.

Buy oilpatch stocks - with leverage; and start looking for a good short selling fund... I have no real fundamental problem with Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, AOL, even Yahoo for example; but some of these stocks are clearly insanely valued and traded like a hot potato between only daytraders...

Man, its hard to not start thinking like a Bear here... there are some absolute house of cards out there.

Hey Bull -- I sent your note of the other day re Matt Simmons over to him. Here is his reply:

"I would love to do another 20 questions. Moreover, we will be posting my final commentary of the IEA's Missin Barrels early next week on our home page in a piece entitled, "The IEA's Remarkable About Face..or who cares." I will make sure you get a copy."

FWIW, The Dog has taken the nice market rise of today and cashed out all the Pup's mutual funds. It's not worth the risk hangin' around for more. I feel better already.
